Le Boson de Higgs!, 2013

Coupland’s visually dynamic practice often references art movements including Pop traditions he reinterprets and reengages for contemporary times. Coupland uses simple, everyday materials to create series of impactful sculptures. Drawing upon the Pop Art movement, Coupland references ordinary objects, often using them as the very materials of his practice, as well as popular culture motifs in his practice, eradicating any hierarchy in cultural references.
